Dr. Nivedita Mandal is associated with the Department of Economics at Adamas University, Kolkata since June 2015. She is a passionate teacher of Economics who believes in class room innovation and pedagogical experimentation, while attempting to extend the knowledge in the exuberant minds.

In her eight years of teaching and research career, she has taught students from various disciplines (e.g. management, law, engineering, social science), with the challenge to address the economic issues from different facets and orientations as well as bringing the essence of the subject in various fields of application.

She has graduated in Economics from Lady Brabourne College, University of Calcutta; post graduated in Applied Economics from the Department of Economics, University of Calcutta, and completed M.Phil. in Finance from IFHE, Hyderabad and Ph.D. in Financial Economics from Mizoram University. She has received the Doctoral Research Fellowship of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Delhi.

Her area of research revolves around Macroeconomics & Finance, and Financial & Monetary Economics. Presently she is exploring other areas in social sector, politics of caste and gender, economics of disability.

She has presented her research work in many international conferences, and published papers in different national and international journals.
